Before taking over as CEO of the social media behemoth, Musk spoke with a user who may have had an impact on his choice to replace Twitter's homepage logo with a Doge parody.

Musk asked the user if there was a need for a new platform during the conversation, to which the user replied that Musk should take control of Twitter and replace the site's logo with a Doge meme.

On his account, Musk also published a funny image of the "doge" meme notifying a police officer—who looks to be looking at his driver's license—that his picture has been changed.
